This October, Single Cruises wants to invite you to do something completely different and come with us way south. Unlike your friends, we will be on board of the Freedom, by Carnival. The cruise is fit for king, just like our service.

The cruise departs

We depart from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on October 24th. Boarding will start at 1:30 pm, so make sure not to be the last to arrive. At 4pm, we're leaving! Then, after some time making yourself comfortable in your cabin and having our first meeting, you are free to enjoy the cruise ship.

What does the Freedom have for you? Well, this beautiful cruise has 14 decks! So here I'll just post a few highlights. For a start, on the Freedom you will be find restaurants of all kinds. Starting from the large dining rooms, The Posh and The Chic, you can also have a snack at the Lido, a great meal at the King Steakhouse or try something different at any of the other international restaurants. If you are in the mood of a cup of wine, you can just go to deck number five, the Promenade, and ask for your favorite bottle at the Nouveau wine bar. If you'd like some coffee, the Viennese café is at that same desk.

Yet if you are looking for something somewhat different, imagine yourself requesting for your favorite song at Scott's piano bar. As you see, the Freedom has entertainment for all moods and lifestyles.

For more cruising fun, try your luck at the Babylon Casino or get a good seat at the Victorian Lounge. You'll be able to see live performances in an incredible auditorium lounge. Besides this, the Seaside Theater offers you a huge 22 x 12 ft. LED screen with a state-of-the-art sound system. Yes, you'll need pop corn.

There are dozens of other amenities in the cruise for you to explore with your new friends...

The singles cruise

As for the trip, this 8-night adventure will take you to three beautiful places along Central America. The first one is the island of Cozumel, in Mexico. Cozumel might not be as renowned as Cancun now, but it's still a great destination due to its multiple attractions.

We're going to spend 9 hours in Cozumel, so get ready. The island is ideal for diving or snorkeling activities. As a matter of fact, Jacques Cousteau himself once declared, in 1961, that Cozumel was one of the most beautiful scuba diving areas in the world. He was probably referring to the beautiful Palancar Reef, one of the many divers can find around Cozumel.

For those who won't dive, Cozumel has a lot of nature around to explore, including its gardens, like the one at Parque Chankanaab, or dolphin shows. Some horse-riding is also available, or if you wish, spend the whole time under the sun in its sandy beaches getting your suntan back.

Our second destination is Limón, in Costa Rica. Limón is a complete province with beautiful beaches, nature and vegetation. As a matter of fact, Costa Rica is one of the countries who best takes care of its environment, so coming to Limón could be a great chance to have fun and also open your eyes and see what good planned environmentalism can do for a place.

We'll be in Limón for 8 hours, so take your chance and go for a walk around its forests full of exotic plants and animals you'll rarely see somewhere else; or head to the beach and remember your surfing times catching some of its great waves. For those really looking forward to something really awesome, ask for Tortuguero, a place somewhat north in which, if you are lucky, you can see turtles laying their eggs. Just be careful: you can fall in love with the place.

Our third destination is Colón (Columbus, in Spanish), in Panama. Colón has four beautiful national parks to take a look at while visiting: Barro Colorado, Soberania, Portobelo and Galeta. It also features ruins and a great opportunity to bird watching and snorkeling. Anyway, if you'll stay at the beach, you'll experience swimming in the calmest waters you'll remember in a sea, as in Colón there almost no tides. Lastly, souvenir purchases in Colón will for sure include beautiful crafts and traditional art you can take home and enjoy for decades.
